Disney Girls Illustration

The thing I love about Disney characters is that they are very iconic.
Cinderella's blue dress, Minnie's polka dots, Belle's rose, Ariel's red hair, and so on..
I also love seeing the iconic characters done in different styles.

These sketches below are my twist on Cinderella, Minnie, Tink, and Alice's iconic outfits, done in fashion illustration style!

Disney's Princess & Me Dolls

Disney Princess & Me dolls from Jakks Pacific are perfect dolls for the girls who always wished to have a Princess friend!

I was in charge of designing these dolls from the very beginning, so I'm so happy to see these come to life!

They are so cute! :)

I will have to say, that the most satisfying part of my job is to see the product I designed being loved by kids.

Pop Belle - Work in Progress

Pop Belle piece coming soon! ;)

New Rapunzel Sketches

I'm currently working on Pop Rapunzel piece, and I've been going back and forth on so many poses already!

The good news is, that I think I've finally decided on "the one" from today's sketches! yay!
This is the one I'm going to use for Pop Rapunzel.
Hope everyone will like it once I'm done! ;)

This was another option, but I would like to turn this one into something more graphic :)

And just some random sketches..
I love her big eyes and the flowy hair!

Disney Characters - Sketches

I was looking through my old sketchbook and realized how long I've been abandoning my sketches inside, so I scanned some of them to post them here =)

And also realized I should be doing more sketches from now on!

I think the hardest thing about creating new artwork is to find an inspiration for it.
It seems like you always end up drawing the same thing that you like, or something that you're confident about drawing it.. then everything starts looking the same..
Which isn't a bad thing, but these days, I feel challenged to explore new styles and new inspirations to experiment with.
Maybe it's just a homework for all artists that never ends.

Here are some Disney character sketches from my sketchbook from few years ago =)

Tinkerbell and a bunny fairy

Cinderella and her glass slippers

Ariel

Lilo cosplay Stitch Figure

I don't think I ever posted pictures of my Stitch actually made into product. So here are some pictures that I took with my figures!
It's so cool to see my design actually made in production and all wrapped inside the box and everything!

Mindstyle sent me a box of them, so they're all sitting inside my room :)

hehe so cute!
This figure is actually a lot smaller than the original. So it fits on the palm of your hands!

Lilo x Stitch at Miramar Shopping Center, Hong Kong

Mindstyle held an event at Miramar Shopping Center in Hong Kong where they displayed some of their figures inside the mall for the Christmas season.
There's my Lilo x Angel figure made into giant size being displayed on the left! And on the right is Disney artist Eric Tan's Tiki Stitch!

Imagining the kids taking pictures in front of my figures makes me so happy! :D I wish I could've been there to see them in person!
Here's Lilo x Stitch!
You can see more pictures from this event at Mindstyle's blog!
